Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Agapanth-oops

Once, long long ago last summer

And then there was the before...

And then there was after...

...the whippersnippering.  Oops...
Just as well there is nothing like a hard prune to encourage growth.

Our Agapanthus are in the chook pen so the chickens keep the weeds down around them. For some reason they don't eat the 'panthers themselves, but they do peck down the soil around the roots, so I do have to keep an eye on that.

Now there's an idea. Maybe I need some chickens to stand guard. And there are so many names for this plant. I love the "panthers"...we call them "angry pandas" after a young one misheard the real name.
